In 2018, the “Art X Charity” event centred around the empowering idea of encouraging the entire community to embrace their inner artist. Throughout the venue, the space came alive with prominent floating platforms, each serving as a captivating canvas for a diverse range of artistic creations. These innovative installations not only sparked engaging dialogues but also ignited debates among the attendees, creating a vibrant and interactive atmosphere.
The pinnacle of the event was a remarkable display featuring the works of 90 exhibitors who came together to showcase their designs and businesses. Beyond this captivating creative showcase, attendees could immerse themselves in a food park, relish outdoor cinema screenings, engage with nine digital activations, and explore an art gallery housing the creations of renowned artists Damian Hurst and Banksy.
Moreover, “Art X Charity” also served as a platform for charitable action, with a spotlight on Takatuf, a charity organisation passionately dedicated to volunteering. The event showcased how the fusion of art and charity could create a powerful synergy, inspiring attendees to embrace their artistic inclinations while supporting a noble cause.
As an added dimension, the event featured distinguished guest speakers, Dr. Maryam Al Suiwdi and Dr. Maryam Matar, whose insights and contributions further enriched the occasion, demonstrating how art and charity could harmoniously coexist for the greater good of the community.
